Our Story
In 2021, Rick Lasher, an experienced Personal Injury Attorney turned Business Development specialist, connected with Francine Hittelman, a Marketing Coordinator skilled in PI medical services. United by a passion for industry improvement, they focused on addressing client non-compliance.
By 2023, they identified persistent issues—missed appointments, treatment gaps, and communication breakdowns—that undermined cases and frustrated all parties. They envisioned a tool to streamline compliance and improve outcomes. In January 2024, Francine introduced Rick to her brother Steven, a tech development and strategy expert. Steven led a team to develop PICompli: a specialized compliance platform with advanced call center support. Since then, Rick, Francine, and Steven have refined PICompli, transforming their vision into an effective solution for better communication, case management, and results in the Personal Injury industry.

Miscommunication among physicians, patients, and attorneys creates a tangled web of missed appointments, delayed treatments, and incomplete care documentation. These issues jeopardize client health, weaken case strength, and lead to reduced settlements and lost opportunities. Without a streamlined system to ensure consistent client engagement and clear communication, attorneys face increased frustration, diminished case value, and inefficiencies that impact all parties in the personal injury process.

The Solution
PICompli transforms client compliance with a robust platform and dedicated call center.
Our compliance management portal tracks critical client information, including incident details, attorney contacts, and appointment feedback, while facilitating seamless communication with doctors. Our team proactively engages clients to ensure attendance at physical therapy, chiropractic treatments, specialist visits, MRIs, and surgical consultations at key milestones (e.g., 4 weeks for specialist visits, 6 weeks for MRIs, 8 weeks for follow-ups). Through email, text, and phone reminders, we confirm attendance and assist with scheduling, transportation coordination, increasing client compliance, and ensuring streamlined case management.

Co-FounderWith her natural knack of networking and building authentic relationships, Francine Hittelman has been weaving connections between people and businesses for years, building her path to success. Her ability to provide exceptional, personalized service and long-standing partnerships is unmatched. A passionate advocate for social impact, Francine brings heart and drive to everything she does, including her work in the nonprofit sector. She has been actively involved in organizations dedicated to critical causes such as pediatric cancer, where she worked on social media strategy and web development, while leading fundraising efforts, volunteering her time and coordinating impactful events that truly made a difference. Currently, Francine, Co-Founder of MedGal Connect, serves as the vital liaison between the multidisciplinary medical offices she represents & the attorneys that work with them, ensuring seamless communication, stronger partnerships and better outcomes for every client involved.

Steven Hittelman
Co-FounderWith over 25 years of experience in business operations, technology development, and strategic growth, Steven Hittelman has built a career on turning challenges into streamlined solutions. Known for his ability to bridge vision with execution, he has led teams in creating innovative systems that improve efficiency, communication, and client outcomes. His background spans construction estimating, insurance adjusting, marketing, and the design and implementation of call centers, where he has also served as Call Center Manager and Director. As Co-Founder of PICompli, Steven applies his expertise to developing the platform’s technology and operational strategy, ensuring measurable results for attorneys, medical providers, and clients alike.

Rick J. Lasher
Co-FounderAdmitted to the New York Bar in 2012, Rick J. Lasher brings over a decade of legal experience, having handled cases across all New York City boroughs and in Suffolk, Nassau, Westchester, and Putnam counties. A native of Dix Hills, New York, Rick earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2011 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University.
With a strong background in personal injury law, Rick previously served as a Trial Associate at Dankner Milstein, a prestigious Manhattan firm, and later contributed his expertise at Buitrago & Associates, though he is no longer with the firm. Earlier, he worked at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office and advocated for workers’ unemployment benefits during law school, demonstrating his early commitment to justice. At PICompli, Rick applies this experience to enhance client compliance and strengthen case outcomes.
